▌ 01 PRODUCT OVERVIEW · ZNAQ-JG1

Laser positioning system for the hook landing point

This system turns “where will the hook come down” into a green spot everyone can see on the ground.

The laser unit is bolted to the trolley and travels with the hook along the jib, projecting a 532 nm high-brightness green beam straight down. Where the beam strikes the ground is where the hook will arrive. The driver steers the trolley by watching the spot, and the crew below watch the same spot — no more guessing by radio or hand signals.

The kit is standalone: one laser unit, one 12 V lithium pack, one one-to-two 12 V lead, one two-button wireless remote and the mounting bracket. Nothing in the crane structure is modified and no cable runs along the jib. Switching it on and off is done by the crane driver from the cab, with the remote.

HIGHLIGHTS

● Laser unit rides the trolley with the hook — beam always straight down

● 532 nm high-brightness green light — the clearest mark after dark

● Switched on and off by the crane driver from the cab, with the remote

▌ 02 HOW IT WORKS · TWO POWER OPTIONS

Bolt it on, plug in 12 V, switch it on

▌ STEP ONE Bolt the laser unit to the trolley with its bracket, lens facing straight down, so it travels with the trolley along the jib.

▌ STEP TWO Plug the one-to-two 12 V lead that ships with the kit into the lithium pack — the beam is vertical by construction, so there is nothing to calibrate.

▌ STEP THREE Leave the two-button wireless remote in the cab; the driver presses one button to switch the light on and the other to switch it off when it is not needed, which saves the pack and avoids shining the beam for no reason.

The whole kit goes on in under an hour with no welding and no cable run along the jib, and the trolley is unchanged when the unit comes off.

TWO POWER OPTIONS

▌ POWER A Contact charging — the kit presses against a contact charger when the trolley parks, so the 12 V pack tops up while the crane works. Best where the crane already has power.

▌ POWER B Solar — adds a 20 W panel and a 10 Ah storage box, so the pack is full by the time the shift starts. Best where there is no mains power on the crane.

Both versions use the same laser unit and the same remote.

KEY POINTS

● Bracket on the trolley, one-to-two 12 V lead — nothing to calibrate

● Two-button remote kept in the cab: driver switches the light on / off

● Power A · contact charging — tops up when the trolley parks

● Power B · solar — 20 W panel + 10 Ah storage box, ready at dusk

● Fitted in under an hour, no structural change, no jib cabling

● Spot size, battery capacity, panel power and runtime — made to order

▌ 03 THE KIT ITSELF · TECHNICAL DATA

What ships in the box, and the numbers

Everything is built on our own production line and shipped as one box.

▌ IN THE BOX The laser unit with its mounting bracket and waterproof plug, the two-button wireless remote, the 12 V lithium pack and the one-to-two 12 V lead, plus either the contact charger or the solar panel — one of the two, per project.

▌ THE LASER UNIT A 532 nm, 100 mW high-brightness laser light in a metal housing with a waterproof connector, sealed to IP65, working from −10 to 40 °C, with a light source life of 5000 hours or more.

▌ THE REMOTE Two buttons only — light on and light off — and it lives in the cab with the crane driver.

▌ MADE TO ORDER Battery capacity, spot size, panel power and runtime are all configured to the order: tell us the hoist height, how many hours you work at night and whether the crane has mains power, and we will configure the kit to that.

▌ FITTING under an hour bolted on and plugged in, no welding, no setup

▌ 04 WHAT IT DOES FOR THE CRANE

One green spot instead of blind hoisting and radio calls

▌ FIRST The landing point is visible — the green spot sits exactly where the hook will arrive, so the driver drives to the spot and the ground crew prepare against the same spot instead of confirming back and forth over the radio.

▌ SECOND It holds up when sight is poor — night shifts, mist, or the side of the load the cab cannot see are exactly where work goes wrong, and a beam on the ground turns “somewhere over there” into “this point here”.

▌ THIRD It warns the ground as well — anyone working below who sees the beam and the spot knows something is coming down that line and keeps clear.

▌ FOURTH It is built for the site — metal housing, waterproof connector, IP65 sealing, working from −10 to 40 °C. Dust, rain and vibration included.

It works in daylight too: the spot is still visible in daylight, and the driver switches it off with the remote when it is not needed. Wherever the trolley goes, the spot goes with it — the unit rides the trolley and the hook, so the mark always stays under the load.

KEY POINTS

● Driver and ground crew work from the same spot, not from an estimate

● The biggest gain is on night shifts and in poor visibility

● The beam doubles as a falling-load warning for the crew below

● IP65 metal housing, −10 to 40 °C, dust, rain and vibration included

● Visible in daylight as well; switched off by the driver when not needed

● 20 W solar panel + 10 Ah storage box for cranes with no mains power

▌ 05 WHERE IT IS USED

Which sites use it, and how it is configured

Night shift is the shift this laser is made for: the load is out of the cab’s sight, the ground is dark and the crew below are far away — and one green spot on the ground is enough for everyone to agree where the hook is coming down.

▌ OTHER SITES Ports and yards running through the night, bridges and steel structures where a member has to land on an exact position, and any crane where the hook position has to be confirmed.

▌ AS A LANDING MARK At only 10–15 mm across, the spot works as a landing mark rather than just a light: on steelwork, precast and bridge work a member can be brought down onto the mark, in daylight as well.

▌ MADE TO ORDER Battery capacity, spot size, panel power and runtime are all made to order — tell us the hoist height, how many hours you work at night and how the crane is powered, and we will configure the kit and quote it.

KEY POINTS

● Night shifts: confirming the landing point when the load is out of sight

● Ports, yards and other sites working through the night

● Bridges, steel structures and precast work needing exact placement

● Any crane where the hook position has to be confirmed

● Spot Ø 10–15 mm — a usable landing mark in daylight too

● Battery / spot size / panel power / runtime made to order
