Application overview

Specified around the application

Refurbishment that brings a used crane back to a deliverable condition

Every used tower crane we offer comes from traceable retired projects. On arrival the crane is dismantled and cleaned, then inspected item by item against a full overhaul standard: structure, welds, mechanisms and electrical systems. Parts that fail inspection are replaced, not sold as-is. After refurbishment the crane goes through no-load and load testing, and is delivered with inspection records, a replaced-parts list and operation and maintenance documentation.

Refurbished used flat-top tower crane
A refurbished used flat-top crane: structure corrected, repainted and safety devices calibrated.

What the refurbishment covers

  • Structure: NDT on mast sections, jib, counter-jib, tower head and slewing support; correction of deformed members.
  • Corrosion protection: blasting, epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat, custom colour and restored safety markings.
  • Mechanisms: hoist, slewing and trolley units dismantled and inspected; bearings, brakes, wire ropes and sheaves replaced as required.
  • Electrical and safety: control cabinets, cables and VFDs serviced; moment limiter, limit switches and anti-collision system calibrated or upgraded.
  • Testing: no-load, rated-load and overload protection tests, with a factory inspection report.
