Controlled Steel Coil Handling

A handling approach for repeatable coil movements where geometry, storage position, and inspection requirements must be defined together.

1. Overview

Controlled Steel Coil Handling is a project-led auxiliary system for coils, rolls and cylindrical inventories within mechanical equipment workflows. By treating device, coil geometry, crane interface, storage position and operating sequence as one system, handling becomes safer and repeatable across shifts.

We begin with coil dimensions, weight range, inner diameter, lifting height and pickup position. The resulting configuration is reviewed with clear operating limits, inspection points and handover documents.

2. Architecture

ModuleRole
Auxiliary C-Hook / Coil HookMatched to inner diameter 508–760mm and coil width 800–1600mm
Load Monitoring (ZNAO-TG2)Weigh + moment + anti-collision when handling near structures
Storage & Transport InterfaceSaddle, coil car and warehouse position aligned

3. Process & Delivery

  • Confirm coil envelope: weight 5–25t, width, bore, coating fragility
  • Select hook capacity (WLL 12–25t, SF 4:1) and verify crane hook height + radius
  • Trial lift with documented checks → inspection record + operating limits sheet

4. Why ZN

  • Geometry-matched selection, not catalogue capacity alone
  • Inspection-ready documentation for approval
  • Coordinated with crane and storage realities
