Tie-in Frame
Steel frame tying the mast back to the building structure, at vertical spacing inside the 9 m code limit.
← Back to hoist partsSteel frames tie the mast back to a floor slab or column. The number of tie-ins sets the free-cantilever height of the mast and keeps guide roller loads inside the design envelope.
Spacing must satisfy both the 9 m code limit and the manufacturer load table — take whichever is stricter. Removing a tie-in to clear a façade detail is never acceptable without a structural engineer signing it off.
