Drive Unit

Each cage carries its own drive: two 11 kW motors with helical gear reducers, whose output pinions mesh with the rack on the mast chord.

The two cages of an SC200/200 run independently and can travel in opposite directions. Watch brake clearance and pinion wear in routine service.
